About

First things first: Welcome to my website. I am glad you are here.

You might agree: writing about oneself is tough! I am not an exception to this rule, but since life is not for the faint-of-heart, I rise to the occasion…

Born in 1969 in a small town in Belgium, I grew up as middle child of a Belgian father and an Italian mother.

At the age of 22 I got my degree as an interpreter, met my German husband, moved to Germany, got married and worked in several corporate jobs before I became a stay-at-home Mom.

By coincidence I picked up painting, got obsessed and painted a lot (!) – day and night. Then I took an interest in interior decoration as well and started dreaming about designing my own patterns one day.

It took me 14 years to find the courage to learn the technical skills I needed to be able to start designing the way I had imagined.

Life tends to repeat itself and so I got obsessed again. This time with creating designs for wallpaper, textiles, everything basically, and immersed myself in the infinite world of prints and patterns for the next 6 years.

Self-taught in everything, it took me 20 years to get to the point where I can now finally present to you a small excerpt of the vast library I created.

My style is eclectic: I am eclectic.

I like many things: the clean formality of an angle, the morning greys of a calm sea, white fresh snow on a high slope, the faded tones of a nostalgic picture, the romance of old organic patterns, as well as the bold colours of a vivid painting and the passionate beats of a bohemian dance. Everything made with heart and soul. Life in all its manifestations…

The things we like and are drawn to are shaped by the environment we grow up in, influenced by the people whom we interact with, by what life throws at us.

My work is a reflection of my life, made to the best of my abilities. I hope you enjoy my works as much as I enjoyed creating them.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Thank you for your interest!
